5:45 - 6:45 | Dinner @ airbnb
6:45 - 8:45 | Blackfish Documentary
Many of us have experienced the excitement and awe of watching 8,000 pound orcas, or "killer whales," soar out of the water and fly through the air at sea parks, as if in perfect harmony with their trainers. Yet this mighty black and white mammal has many sides – a majestic, friendly giant, seemingly eager to take trainers for a ride around the pool, yet shockingly – and unpredictably – able to turn on them at a moment's notice. BLACKFISH unravels the complexities of this dichotomy, employing the story of notorious performing whale Tilikum, who – unlike any orca in the wild – has taken the lives of several people while in captivity.
8:45 | Evening Meditation / 1:1 appts w/ Wellness Advocate*
10/3
Day 3
7:30 am | Yoga/Meditation*
8:00 - 9:00 | Breakfast
10:00 - 12:00 | Eating Animals Causes Pandemics Demonstration
We will join together for orchestrated and COVID-19 safe demonstrations in biohazard gear and surgical masks. We will literally be sounding the alarm to paint a grim visual of what our future holds if we don’t learn from this current pandemic. We have a bold vision to make the world a better and safer place and the sooner we get there, the better. Standing by and allowing governments and corporations to lie to the world at large is not an option for us. If they won't tell the truth, we will!
12:00 - 1:45 | Lunch at Jikssa Vegan Ethiopian Cuisine
1:45 - 2:45 | Aquarium Protest
Join us to protest the Georgia Aquarium. We are protesting them because they, along with all other aquariums, embody a deeply concerning disregard for the ethical treatment of marine life. The captivity of intelligent beings like dolphins and whales within cramped enclosures strips them of their natural behaviors and social structures. Despite claims of education, these facilities often perpetuate the idea that animals are here solely for human amusement rather than emphasizing their vital role in intricate ecosystems.
2:45 - 4:15 | Visit the Civil Rights Museum
The National Center for Civil and Human Rights, which opened in 2014, is a museum and human rights organization in Atlanta that inspires people to tap their own power to change the world around them. The Center’s iconic exhibitions feature the papers and artifacts of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; the history of the civil rights movement in the United States; and stories from the struggle for human rights around the world today.
5:00 - 6:00 | Break / 1:1 appts w/ Wellness Advocate
6:00 - 7:00 | Dinner @ airbnb

11:00 - 1:00 | Pilgrims Pride protest/Chicken Vigil
During this event, we will bear witness to the suffering and plight of chickens in the animal agriculture industry. This vigil will provide an opportunity for individuals to connect with these sentient beings, show them empathy, and raise awareness about the impact of industrial farming. The vigil will be outside of Pilgrim's Pride, a chicken slaughterhouse that kills around 1.7 million chickens a week. Activists and participants gather peacefully and respectfully near the entrance, holding signs and banners advocating for animal rights and compassion. After the vigil we will be going to an animal sanctuary to volunteer to spend time with animals at their forever homes!

Sweet Olive Farm Animal Rescue is a place of hope and healing for animals who have endured the hardships of factory farming and other forms of exploitation.
