Joining us are special guests Erin Wing whose years as an undercover animal investigator and life at a sanctuary have transformed the way she relates to pigs, and trey whose work explores Black liberation and possibilities of freedom through interdependence.
Alongside APEX co-hosts Yvette Baker and Christopher Sebastian, Erin and trey will explore the tensions held within these visceral encounters without allowing the lives of pigs to disappear beneath everything they have been made to represent.

Erin Wing is a former undercover investigator and current Deputy Director of Investigations for Animal Outlook. During her time undercover, she completed 4 investigations in the dairy, chicken and aquaculture industries, including the first-ever exposé of salmon aquaculture in the U.S.
Erin's investigations and her advocacy work shed light on the multiple levels of exploitation prevalent in the animal agriculture system. She sincerely shares personal accounts from her compelling background to illustrate the dangers speciesism poses to all sentient beings on the planet. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, The Guardian and The New York Times.
Erin lives in Washington at an animal sanctuary with her partner and animal companions, Nugget, Onion and Rocky.
trey is a total liberationist first introduced to the abolitionist movement in 2011 during the #iAmTroyDavis campaign in Georgia and was further politicized after going vegan in 2016. with the realization that all systems of oppression are connected, he has actively organized with the Texas Death Penalty Abolition Movement, S.H.A.P.E. Community Center, Black Alliance for Peace, RESULTS, Vegan Society of Peace, and the Green Party (Animal Rights Committee).
